The Trials of Arabella

First off, Atonement is utterly perfect. Everybody go see. I don't think I've ever seen a film that follows a book so faithfully. All credit to McEwan's novel for the story which had me emotionally broken for hours after I finished it but cinematically it was simply beautiful. That's all I'm going to say on the matter or I'll just babble about how much I love Keira and James. Which I do. Because they are awesome.

I found a wee vintage clothes shop today. So full of treasures! Sadly I lack the funds for anything, fingers crossed people buy all my uni books I've given to the SRC. Go on cheap students, my books are bargains! But yeah, the shop. It had bowler hats. I loong for a bowler hat but sadly my poverty and rather small head prevented me from purchasing. Maybe one day I will achieve that snappy look I desire. Maybe one day...

On the plus side, my witch's hat, which I was certain was missing forever, wasn't. It was instead hidden in a box in the attic. Silly hat! It hasn't left my head since, with the small exception of every time I leave the house. I would have cried so hard if it was gone. It's all velvety and never lets me down when I'm too lazy to do anything different for Halloween. So yay for hat!

I got not much else to say really, Uni's starting up soon. There's always good times to be had at Uni. First first year was pretty bleargh but it's such a pretty place it's hard to be down about anything. Also this one time I was having a crappy French related day and there was a man standing next to the subway with a big placard with "You are beautiful" written on it. I think I awwed all the way back into town. So crazy man with sign I never had a chance to say thank you until now. You rawk with your crazy sign-making skills!

Also: there's a new Marmite advert with Paddington. Let me say this once, Paddington bear will never, ever get bored of Marmalade and anybody who decided otherwise is wrong. Utterly and completely wrong. And I don't like you.

I'll sign off with another reason why bowlers rock my socks on. <3

omgosh I hate Lionel Richie! And now he knows where my blog is I can never ever write bad things about him in case he gets me, through the internet!

Also, hi Rob. Dontcha know hangovers and computers don't mix well? All that whirring and poor spelling always makes me feel a lot worse after heavy drinking.

pah, you've no idea what heavy drinkin is

I know heavyish drinking and I know it doesn't mix well with trying to read things.

Did you over-enjoy the sex scene too? I had to restrain Jane. Did you see naughty James on Parky on Sat...he is so very naughty.

Rock on bowler hats...and Ringo...who rocks even more...wow, Ringo in a bowler hat...

Lotsaluv, Em

Well no my mum was right there and there were old folk in the cinema since we were there early. I'll have to wait for the DVD!

Also I giggled for way too long thinking of hatted Ringo. I'm not sure why it's funny.

But it is.
